‘A myriad of works ; celebrating painting, sculpture, print, ceramic and photography by household names and emerging talent.’
As the National Gallery celebrates 200 years, this open call invites artists to reflect on the essence of identity in its many forms. Whether through portraiture, abstract expressions, or conceptual explorations, artists are encouraged to interpret the enduring question: What makes us who we are?
Dedicated entirely to original works on paper, For Arts Sake and Pitzhanger will showcase over 150 pieces in Pitzhanger Gallery, by both established and emerging artists.

I will be showing a collection of paintings at Hicks Gallery from 8th September 2023 inspired by a solo retreat/residency on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, UK in May this year.
To read more about the inspiration behind this collection please visit my BLOG here on my website.
Featured here is Tenby 2, which although is a more figurative move away from my usual abstract landscapes, the central figure is a recurring motif in a few of my paintings.
This painting evokes childhood summers on holiday and I wanted to give a timeless quality to the overall feeling of the image. The little girl is me but she could be anyone immersed in the act of exploration on a beach.
Really thrilled to be showing at Silson Contemporary for their Winter/Spring Show alongside other artists I admire.
The gallery is situated in Sarah Collier’s beautiful home in Harrogate, Yorkshire and is perfect for its light and space.
Still time left to bid in my Studio Sale with the Auction Collective.

I am thrilled to be showing a collection of my work at Hicks Gallery for their Xmas show. Paintings are very much inspired by the landscape such as this one here, ‘Picnic At Logan Rock’, from a summer evening there in Cornwall.
The landscapes are semi abstract and evoke strong memories and feelings of times spent there.

I am really thrilled to be showing 8 of my paintings at Hicks Gallery, SW London in May.
Its a gallery I’ve had my eye on when I drive past as its quite local to me. I’ve always admired the paintings shown there and the gallery itself is lovely.
Alice and her parents who run the gallery are really charming and welcoming and you couldn’t wish for a better gallery to see beautiful art.
For images of the work displayed go to my Exhibition page and here for the Hicks website
It was such a pleasure to show my work with The Art Buyer in her Spring Show in March.
Helen has a real eye for art and we share common artists who we love so it was even more of a pleasure that she chose my work to be featured in this online show.
I’m hoping to show my work physically with Helen in the future so watch this space!
Delighted to have two paintings accepted into this prestigious exhibition in April.
This acrylic painting on 300gsm etching paper measures 74 x 74 cm is inspired by the winter light on remembered landscapes.
I was recently asked to contribute to a documentary by Belgin Yucelen, an artist based in Boulder, Colorado, about 23 artists across 10 countries and how they are creating in the Pandemic. What a pleasure it was to be part of this interesting film.
If you are at home with primary age children at the moment, this can be a tricky time so I’m putting together some short art tutorials to keep them busy. Have a go and feel free to let me know how you get on!
Really thrilled to be showing here for the third time at this lovely gallery by the Thames and the Tate Modern.
My watercolour ‘ English Winter 1’ will be here alongside lots of beautiful work by talented artists.
