This fine art print on Somerset Enhanced Velvet 255gsm paper with a surface matt finish is taken from a mixed media painting on canvas with vintage photo transfer ( taken from original slides from my childhood) shows a young boy ( actually my brother) flying his kite with an unknown person. I wanted to evoke the rose tinted, almost of another time, quality by using these colours.

I was contacted recently by a collector to say that her husband saw an image of this on social media and was almost moved to tears as it evoked strong memories of his now deceased father. This was all the more powerful for me, as she said he didn’t usually show an interest in art at all.
